Within 5 business days of receipt (not counting the day the request is received), the City will issue a response. If a request is received by fax, email or other electronic transmission, the request is deemed to have been received on the following business day. If necessary, the City may issue a ten-day extension, which allows ten additional business days to respond.
Many records are available on the City’s website at no charge. Please check the website to see if your record is there. Our website offers a search feature to assist you.
Charges may include the hourly wage, or a portion thereof, of the lowest paid employee capable of performing the search, the costs of copying, including the cost of commercial copies that cannot be made on-site, and retrieval of on-site and off-site records.
If research and copying costs are estimated to exceed $50, a good faith deposit of no more than 50% of the estimated final cost shall be required.
