Overnight parking on the City streets or in any City parking lot is prohibited between the hours of 3:00am - 5:00am. In accordance with State Law, notice is posted at the entrances to the City.
The ordinance provides for issuance of permits to park on the street or lot. If you need to park overnight for a short time due to driveway repair, out of town guests, etc. call the Police Department for permission. An annual or seasonal permit may be issued in the event of a demonstrated hardship.
Parking violations may be paid by any one of the following methods:
In order to check on the status of a pending violation, you will need to call the Cashier’s office during regular business hours. Please be able to provide either the ticket number or the license plate of the vehicle that received the ticket.
If you need to pay a parking
ticket, online payments are now being accepted. The traditional methods
of paying – in person at the Cashier’s
Office at City Hall, or by mail – are still available. Paying online
includes a convenience fee by the third-party provider, but often saves
time over mailing the payment or paying in person.
